Celebrating its 36th running in 2026, the SPAR Women’s 10/5km Challenge Durban is one of South Africa’s most popular road races, attracting thousands of runners and walkers each year. Held along the scenic Durban beachfront, the event offers both 10km and 5km race options, making it accessible to elite athletes, casual runners, and families alike. As part of the SPAR Grand Prix Series, the race promotes women’s empowerment, fitness, and community spirit, with proceeds often supporting local charities. Whether you're racing for a personal best or just enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, the SPAR Women’s Challenge Durban is a must-do event on the city’s running calendar.

Please note only females may enter the 10km challenges.

Race Pack Collection

Entrants must collect their race Bibs and T-shirts from Kings Park Outer Fields. Vehicle and pedestrian access via Virgin Active in Isaiah Ntshangase Road with Free Parking available on the Kings Park Field 9.

GOODIE BAGS will be issued at the finish line after completion of the event on Sunday, 28 June 2026.

Race Bibs & Licence Numbers

RACE BIBS & LICENCE NUMBERS

All participants must wear a SPAR Race Bib on the FRONT of their vest/shirt. For licensed athletes the SPAR Race Bib must only be placed over the numeric portion of the ASA licence number. See ASA Rules. (NOT on the shorts – ASA/KZNA Rule).

10km licensed athletes are required to wear both ASA/KZN licence numbers, front and back.

10km Temp licence athletes will be required to wear a SPAR Race Bib, incorporating a TEMP number, on the front of the vest.

All numbers are to be clearly visible.

NOTE: 5km Fun Run/Walk participants do NOT require a Temp Licence.
